Writing

When I first graduated from seminary I tried unsuccessfully to earn a living as a professional writer. Finding a job as a college chaplain in Danbury, Connecticut, in 1979 then as a pastoral counselor there in 1983 and in Memphis in 1985, I continued to write and published irregularly. Below are lists of books and articles I have had published.

My latest three writing projects are a book to be published in 2010 by Schiffer Publishing on Walking Tours in Memphis, a completed manuscript (seeking a publisher) on Running the Good Race: the Art and Science of Running Fast, and a developing project on Quaker Upside Down Theology.
